Be honest — do you know when your broadband contract ends? Or are you just… hoping for the best?
Lots of people don’t realise that staying past your contract end date often means rolling onto a pricier, out-of-contract rate. In fact, providers like TalkTalk and EE say you’ll get a notification 10–40 days before your deal ends, but it’s easy to miss if you’re not looking for it.
Why it matters:
- You could be overpaying without realising it
- You might be eligible for a better deal or faster speeds at no extra cost
- It gives you time to switch or negotiate before automatic price hikes kick in
- You can avoid mid-contract penalties if you’re thinking of making a change
What you can do today:
- Check your contract end date (via bill or online account).
- See what your rate will revert to after it ends.
- Look for upcoming rises or hidden charges (e.g. router insurance).
- Decide: stay, switch, or haggle — and set a reminder 30 days ahead!
- Online: Log into [My Account → My package & Add‑ons] to view your end date.
- Call: 0345 172 0088 (Mon–Fri 9–7, Sat 9–6) or use Live Chat for quick check.
