Like all UK homes, ours is at the front of the house, tucked away in a corner. If you can, it does help to raise it off the ground a by a couple of inches

Ours is in the centre of the house. As high as I can get it. This covers the whole property (a bungalow). I had to use Wi-Fi extension to get to the garage.
