Do you check your broadband speed regularly?

By regularly checking the real-life results you get, you not only make sure you’re getting the service your provider promised, but:

  • make it easier to troubleshoot problems when they happen
  • and help keep providers on their toes

When did you last check your speed? How do the results live up to what you signed up for?

  • My broadband speed is as good or better than the provider’s promise
  • Good enough for me, but doesn’t meet the provider’s promise
  • Unacceptable, and I’m looking to change
  • Unacceptable, but it’s my only broadband option

Just did it. Not sure whether my result is good or bad?
How can I see whether this is what I should be getting from Virgin Media.

I regularly check my broadband speed. Both via BT app and independently, to make sure I’m getting my agreed/paid for speed. To be fair I am. But the performance guarantee some providers offers are meaningless - don’t pay up for a few days of service down.
